25/10/2023 - Perdigões featured in National Geographic's special edition

An article by António Valera, from ERA's team, on the Perdigões Archaeological Complex, where we have been implementing a systematic research program for 26 years, was republished in the latest special edition of National Geographic, dedicated to the Prehistory of the Iberian Peninsula. A text by the author in partnership with Tiago do Pereiro, also from ERA's team, on the prehistoric enclosures delimited by moats in the Alentejo region was also added.

The article is illustrated with the most recent image of one of these enclosures, taken from a geophysical prospecting carried out as part of the "Ancestral Landscape - Ceremonial Enclosures in the Lands of the Guadiana" project, led by ERA Arqueologia and aimed precisely at publicizing and safeguarding this type of heritage.

The image now published reveals yet another remarkable enclosure, full of interesting features that will be explored in the scientific publication of this work.
