09/05/2024 - Interview by the newspaper Público: “This is the largest vessel ever discovered in Lisbon”.

In 2020, we identified the remains of a 17th-century ship in Lisbon. Its excavation, survey, recording, exhaustive study and preventive conservation were a significant challenge. 

The Portuguese state must be responsible for preserving such a valuable find. For many months, we have been waiting for specific indications on how to proceed with its delivery to the Ministry of Culture, namely the National Center for Nautical and Underwater Archaeology (CNANS).
